Insatiable, a craving for you
Like a drowning man for air
A thirsty man in a desert
A lonely man on a park bench

Within sight but out of reach
A whisper away but my voice fails me
Though such longing surge within
I turn away to avoid your gaze

Caged is my heart, locked with a key
Its bearer unbeknownst, a dark mystery
Bars of fear between tales and history
Imprisoned between truth and illusion

I looked again, did you turn your head?
I held my hand out, did you back away?
Is this a game, is this a race?
Would I never be...?

And once again I'm lost in this sea
My mind adrift, a floating twig.
