The earth has spun around once more,
the sun has hidden, the moon has risen.
Yet again the wheel has turned,
the spokes in place, differing in no way.
All's the same. Nothing's changed.
Weariness has come to take its place,
yet fatigue seems inadequate to put me in bed.
Night and day, dawn and dusk,
all's the same, nothing's changed.
The wheel keeps spinning in its place.
Morning comes, the sun awakens,
yet rest remains evasive, my mind in restless stupor.
And in its parchedness echoes a silent scream,
Can nothing remain, can nothing stay?
... The earth has spun around once more,
the sun has hidden, the moon has risen.
Nothing's changed. All's the same.
