To wake up in the arms of a lover
To see the child-like truth in his eyes
To feel the warmth his closeness brings
Upon the stroke of dawn's first light
How shall I sing to voice my merriment
What shall I give to have another?
I yearn for no day to end
For goodbyes come, as a pining heart does
Yet I await dusk for the slightest chance
To fall into a slumber right in your arms
Shall I weep, if tomorrow never comes
Shall I smile, if the night forever lasts
Shall I, will I, can I, might I
The screws in my mind turn with restless thoughts
Yet in an everlasting dream I drift through every dawn
