Amidst a bed of dozen flowers
I picked one out of all
Every stalk no different
All bloomed in utmost glory
Each a sleeping butterfly amidst the leaves
I yearn to reach out to stroke their wings
But one lone butterfly sits in the side
Reserved yet dangerously alluring
As I slowly edged towards it
All others flew out of sight
I felt an urge to protect it
Make this beauty mine
I take this flower in my palm
Its petals soft and comforting
Instantly butterflies swarmed around me
Lifting me from my feet
I was floating on a rainbow
A faerie amongst the trees
